Teeth whitening has become increasingly popular. Whiter teeth can not only help you look younger, but enhance your appearance, creating a brighter, cleaner-looking smile.
Your natural tooth enamel is subject to discoloration due to factors such as aging and dark-colored foods and drinks including wine, coffee, berries, and even soy sauce. Although many surface stains can be removed with regular home care habits and professional teeth cleanings, some stains are persistent and contribute to a dull smile.
When you have darker or yellow-colored teeth that don’t respond to regular cleanings or just want to have whiter teeth, a professional whitening could be for you.
“Office is modern, clean and short walk from the metro. Welcoming and friendly. Great staff. Everything was prompt. I didn’t have to wait at all. Highly recommend.”

Teeth whitening in North Bethesda is a popular procedure before events such as weddings, graduations, job promotions and even vacations. White teeth give people the confidence they need to smile in photos, take the next step in their lives and truly enjoy themselves.
Whiter teeth not only boost your confidence, but can also make you appear younger, as we associate whiter teeth with younger people. Many patients find that their oral care improves once they’ve invested in a professional whitening, as they want to be sure their dazzling smile lasts for as long as possible.
Before scheduling your appointment for a professional whitening at Pike District Smiles, you’ll have a consultation with Dr. Nikkhah. She’ll review your concerns about your smile and conduct a comprehensive oral exam to determine if you’re eligible for a whitening procedure.
During your whitening procedure in Rockville, which will take approximately an hour, Dr. Nikkhah will apply the whitening solution to your teeth, taking care to completely protect your gum tissue beforehand. A special light will be used to complete the whitening process.
Once your procedure is complete, Dr. Nikkhah may apply a fluoride solution to minimize any tooth sensitivity that may occur over the next 24-48 hours. This tooth sensitivity is temporary and will subside in a few hours.
If you’ve been wanting whiter teeth, contact us at Pike District Smiles to schedule a consultation . We look forward to helping you get the smile of your dreams!
